Standard Abrasives Buff and Blend Hook and Loop GP Vacuum Disc 831710 6" A MED

Ideal for many different light-duty applications, Standard Abrasives Buff and Blend Hook and Loop GP Vacuum Disc is a versatile non-woven disc designed to lightly blend, clean, deburr and finish a variety of metals. The hook and loop backing attaches to a hook and loop holder pad (sold separately) on a random orbital sander. Dust holes help eliminate dust when used with a vacuum system.

Moderately Aggressive for Lighter-Weight Applications Standard Abrasives Buff and Blend Hook and Loop GP Vacuum Disc is a great multi-purpose product for general-duty industrial applications. The dust holes assist with removal of dust and debris for applications such as paint removal or finishing of soft metals such as aluminum or brass. Among the Standard Abrasives Buff and Blend materials, the GP material is the least aggressive and most suitable for light-weight applications. Use it to remove light oxidation, blend minor surface imperfections, clean surfaces prior to coatings, remove small burrs, and perform basic equipment cleanup. This aluminum oxide disc comes in grades of medium (MED) and very fine (VFN).

Versatile and multi-purpose, Standard Abrasives Buff and Blend GP products work well on a variety of substrates, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, aluminum, high nickel/chrome alloys and stainless steel. Non-woven construction makes this disc spongy and responsive so that it conforms to workpiece contours or irregularities.

When the job requires additional toughness for higher-pressure applications, we recommend using a Standard Abrasives Buff and Blend HP or HS Disc.

Using a Hook and Loop GP Vacuum Disc Designed with exposed dust holes for use on portable sanders with a vacuum system, the GP Vacuum Disc helps keep the air and workpiece free of dust for a cleaner work environment and work surface. Dust and debris is extracted through symmetrically placed holes in the disc and drawn into a vacuum system connected to the sander (available separately).

Hook and loop vacuum discs mount to a hook and loop style holder pad that has compatible dust holes and is the same diameter as the disc. The holder pad (available separately) provides convenient attachment to a random orbital sander. For use with other tools, Buff and Blend discs are also available with quick change and center hole attachments.
