Creates thinner scratch than aluminum oxide due to its sharper grain. Silicon carbide will cut faster but does not last as long as aluminum oxide. Can be used either dry or wet for micro-finishing. Finishing plastics, acrylics, polycarbonates, bakelite, fiberglass, gelcoat, soft woods and composites.
