3M Xtract™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ Paper Disc 950U is an abrasive disc designed to deliver high performance in oily applications. It’s powered by fast-cutting, long-lasting 3M Precision-Shaped Grain in a super-open-coat construction that resists loading with sanding swarf. The F-weight paper backing is specially designed for sanding metal.

Cuts Fast with Minimal Loading 3M™ Cubitron™ II Hookit™ Disc 950U uses 3M Precision‑Shaped Grain, engineered to continuously fracture into sharp, fresh cutting points. This maintains a high cut rate throughout the disc’s life while helping reduce heat buildup on the workpiece. The very open‑coat construction minimizes loading, especially important when sanding aluminum, resulting in fast, consistent performance and long disc life. Aggressive Cutting with a Smooth, Uniform Finish Designed for both strength and efficiency, the 950U delivers a sharp, aggressive cut while producing a clean, uniform finish in panel and frame sanding applications. Its performance remains consistent from initial cut to final pass. Part of the 3M Xtract™ Clean Sanding System, designed for optimal dust removal. Featuring a 3M proprietary multi-hole pattern that enhances dust extraction, outperforming traditional 5- or 6-hole designs. This innovative pattern allows for quick disc changes without needing hole alignment with the disc pad. For optimal dust removal, pair the disc with a 3M Xtract™ Back-up pad and 3M Xtract™ Random Orbital Sander with vacuum (both sold separately). Our complete line of 3M™ Hookit™ discs is perfect for environments where adhesive-backed discs may become contaminated by dust or dirt. Hookit discs are less aggressive than 3M™ Stikit™ discs, making them ideal for achieving finer finishes.
