Vitrified Grinding Wheel Features:
- Aluminium oxide 54A grains, with vitrified bond
- Low friability and high wear resistance
- More durable than standard white Al2 O3 specifications when combined with green bonding system
- Ideal for non-alloyed or low alloyed non-hardened steels, or alloyed steels, hardened up to 60-63 HRc
- Outperforms when grinding cast iron, or stainless steel materials
For outer diameter (OD) plunge grinding and creep feed grinding of turbine fir-tree roots, use 3M™ Vitrified Grinding Wheels - 33VC.
These grinding wheels are durable and provide a longer lifetime than standard white Al2 O3 grains. They're more specifically used for grinding non-alloyed or low alloyed non-hardened steels, or alloyed steels, hardened up to 60-63 HRc. They also provide high performance grinding for cast iron, or stainless steel materials.
