3M™ Cloth Roll 747D engineered with a blend of aluminum oxide and 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain on a semi-flexible, X-weight cloth backing. This blend of aluminum oxide and 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain produces an excellent cut rate. Cloth Roll 747D is resin-bonded on a cotton backing for heat resistance. The durable backing is designed to withstand aggressive sanding and grinding as well as features an anti-friction coating that helps the abrasive run smooth, reducing premature wear of platens that remain static while grinding. Constructed with a grinding aid, an added coating that helps the abrasive stay cool during grinding, in order to minimize heat and improve overall performance.
Ceramic blend products feature aluminum oxide blended with ceramic grain for a long-lasting abrasive that has enhanced toughness and hardness of the grain. Perfect for stock removal, ceramic abrasives are engineered to fracture frequently for a super-fast cut and handle intense heat and stress applications.
