About Aluminum Oxide Mineral Abrasive
3M™ Wetordry™ Paper Roll 213Q features aluminum oxide mineral, which is popular among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. Tough, durable aluminum oxide self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, keeping a consistent cut longer. Traditional natural minerals dull more quickly. Due to its fast cut-rate, hardness and reliability, it is an industry favorite for sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
Recommended Applications
- Wet sanding, fine featheredging or final sanding step before priming
- Scuffing the blend area prior to painting
