3M™ Flexible Diamond Cloth Sheet 6001J, are designed to help you achieve improved finishes on a wide range of hard-to-grind materials – without sacrificing cut rates. The primary difference between our diamond products is the abrasive backing. Choosing the right backing depends on operator preferences and the application.
The backing on 3M™ Flexible Diamond Cloth Sheet 6001J is an x-weight cloth backing. The semi-flexibility of the x-weight backing enables this diamond abrasive to move forgivingly over the workpiece, responding to edges and contours. It’s one of the reasons this abrasive is uniquely suited for contour finishing.
A metal bond securely anchors micron-graded diamonds to a premium cloth backing in an open dot pattern. Metal bonds are known to be tough and durable when it comes to adhering mineral to a backing.
