Uniquely engineered to tackle the toughest jobs, 3M™ Diamond Polishing Cloth Sheet 652WY is constructed with micron-graded diamond particles encapsulated in a resin bead. As the resin erodes, diamond particles continue to be exposed. Diamond is extremely useful in polishing for its unique ability to produce excellent surface finishes on hard to grind materials.. We used a tough resin bond designed to retain the diamond through its useful life.
Use Wet or Dry
652WY has a water-resistant, X-weight cloth backing that should be used wet. Coolant is useful to remove grinding swarf and extending abrasive life. It also keeps grinding temperatures cooler.
A Tough Sheet for Hard-to-Grind Materials
This sheet's overall toughness makes it ideal for polishing and finishing ceramics, chilled cast iron, thermal spray coatings and the many extremely hard composites being used more often in more industries.
