Sanding Roll Product Features:
- 3M™ Ceramic Aluminum Oxide abrasive blend has high durability and cut-rate, which may help increasing production
- Flexible backing conforms to contours or on part radiuses for consistent finishing
- Incorporated grinding aid reduces heat and increases performance when used on stainless steel and exotic metals
- Durable resin bond resists deterioration from heat, extending the life of the abrasive cloth
- Used to create abrasives for light to moderate stock removal, blending and scratch refinement
3M™ Cloth Roll 707E is constructed with a blend of 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain and premium aluminum oxide to give you increased durability and cutting speed. This unique combination of abrasive grains also helps deliver consistent performance over the life of the abrasive. The backing is made of a flexible rayon cloth that easily follows contours and can wrap around part radiuses. This flexibility also makes this abrasive a good choice when used on a soft contact wheel or slack of roll for more conformity to part radiuses.
3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain is a ceramic mineral designed for long life and consistent finishes. For increased performance, 707E products feature aluminum oxide blended with 3M ceramic grain which is a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. Perfect for moderate to heavy stock removal, ceramic abrasives are engineered to cut fast and to reduce heat when grinding on stainless steel and other heat sensitive metals. Ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability and makes 3M™ 707E cloth roll an excellent choice for moderate stock removal and surface preparation.
Choose this cloth when selecting abrasives for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending and scratch refinement. An incorporated grinding aid helps reduce grinding temperatures and protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys and cobalt alloys. This also helps prevent heat-related stress cracks and surface discoloration. Additionally, the abrasive is firmly attached to the backing with resin bond to maintain durability for all finishing applications.
