Description
3M™ 5” 915S 7000120833 Scotch-Brite™ Surface Conditioning Disc Pack
Clean, Finish, Blend and Deburr
Each disc in the Scotch-Brite™ Surface Conditioning Disc Pack 915S is color-coded by grade to help operators reduce the risk for error during a multi-step sequence. The pack contains one disc of each grade of our SC family: S SFN (Gray), A VFN (Blue), A MED (Maroon) and A CRS (Brown). Why choose silicon carbide or aluminum oxide mineral?
Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. It cuts aggressively without significantly altering part geometry, which is great for applications like finishing and paint prep – when you want to maintain the part’s original shape. Silicon carbide is another synthetic mineral that is very sharp and commonly used for low-pressure applications, such as sanding and finishing during paint prep. While it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, this mineral produces a brighter finish.
