Our AS3 wheels feature a 30% advanced Cubitron 321 ceramic content combined with a 20% premium pink aluminum oxide grain and 50% white aluminum oxide grain that delivers cooler cuts on harder surfaces for maximum performance and life. This unique combination continually fractures, producing sharp new grinding points. Best used when heavy stock removal is necessary. Ceramic wheels are designed to grind without burn and hold form much better. They are excellent for corner and form holding applications. They exceed standard wheels when grinding materials 50 Rockwell C and harder. Ideal for hardened tool steels, sprayed metal coatings, Iconel, Waspalloy, Hastalloy, Stellite and other high-temp alloys. In tool room applications, the AS3 will yield better results in dry grinding than conventional abrasives. They allow heavier downfeeds and faster traverse rates. Dressing is only required to restore the shape of the wheel. ISO 9002 certified quality.
